The surrogate acts as a rented womb and none of her genetics transfers to the child. What to Know Before Procedure:
There are many reasons why surrogacy is the best option for your family. That is why it is important for many tests to be done before the procedure is done. Some tests include a complete background check with respect to family details, education & habits etc and also series of medical test & investigations (blood examination, infectious diseases, Pap smear, hysteroscopy, etc). PlanetHospital also understands that you will have many questions and concerns about the legal aspects of Surrogacy. We are here to answer any and all questions you may have.

PlanetHospital understands that surrogacy is something that you shouldn?t have to face alone. That is why we provide the following team to help you with the process.
Case Manager - Your guide through the entire process.
Travel Coordinator - Assists with booking flights and accommodations.
Other Case managers - Provides back-up support to your Case Manager.
Overseas Fertility Doctor - will be available to answer your questions concerning the procedure.
Independent Doctor/Nurse - Verifies that your transfers actually took place, that the donor you see in your photo is the real donor, and that your surrogate is being properly taken care of throughout the process. This person does NOT work for the fertility clinic. She is our eyes and ears (and yours).
Overseas Concierge - Will take care of all the arrangements when you are abroad and makes sure you never feel as though you are left alone or lost.
Locations and Prices:
PlanetHospital is offering surrogacy services in India or Panama. The prices range from approximately $30,000 to $75,000 depending on the country and the doctor.
Frequently Asked Questions:
We already have embryos, can we use them?
Yes, we work with a shipping company that can ship from the clinic that houses your embryos to the clinic of your choice. The cost can be as much as $2,500 and is dependent upon location of your clinic and where they are being transported.
Can we ship our eggs or sperm?
We regularly ship sperm, but do not recommend shipping eggs as the shipping process can decrease the number of healthy eggs. This is not an issue with sperm, because of the large number of health sperm that is within a sample.
We are a gay couple. Can we mix our contributions so the parent is random?
Yes but this involves two IVFs and therefore an extra cost which is outlined in this document.
Does the surrogate have any rights to my child?
No, the surrogate does not. They sign a surrogate agreement with you outlining the terms and condition. They are also not related to the child in any way.
Do you offer any sort of guarantee?
We cannot offer any guarantees as we are managing a biological process. We provide you with all the statistics and our word that we will do everything we can to ensure a successful pregnancy.
What is the first step?
Getting fertility testing done along with blood work or semen analyzed if you are a male.
What are the testing requirements?
Your case manager will provide you with a list of the requirements you can give to your physician. If you are using a donor, the agency will coordinate the arrangements for them to get tested.
What if I am HIV positive?
We offer a process called sperm washing for the intended father that eliminates the chance of the child being infected; washed sperm can then be used in surrogacy in either Panama or Crete.
Can I be guaranteed you will use my genetic material?
Yes, your child is genetically tested before it is allowed to leave the country, which will prove your relationship.
How soon can I get started?
You can get started as soon as you are ready. Your case manager will be able to provide you a timeline and will let you know when you will be able to make your first transfer onto your surrogate.
What is your policy on Refunds:
In the event you need to cancel things before you start your process, we will promptly refund your deposit less $500 for admin costs. If you have paid for an Indian donor, we will reimburse you $2,000 for the donor once we have someone else take on that donor. If you were using Egg Donation Inc. you will need to communicate them directly. If you get to the clinic abroad and for whatever reason you are not comfortable with things (though this has never happened to us), we will work out a mutual arrangement to refund your money to you less any actual expenses incurred such as payments to donor, donor testing, and medications.
